15 things I do to guard my space that have brought joy to my life…
Turned off all phone notifications, badges and sounds for everything except phone calls. (yes, even my text message notifications are silenced)
Turned off all computer notifications, badges and sounds
Shutting my phone off after dinner
Spending the first hour of the day without picking up my phone (are you seeing a trend here?)
Morning and evening routines
Meditation
Purging anything that drains instead of adding value to my life (including but not limited to things, people, habits and mindsets)
Practice whole self-care
Verbalizing boundaries (ie: That doesn’t work for me. I’m unavailable right now. Could you/ would you be willing to take that to another room?)
Unsubscribed to newsletters and emails
Block off time on my calendar as unavailable
Ditched the purse and all the “just in case” stuff that went in it
Went paperless
Put bills on autopay (two things that were a HUGE facilitator in getting here were YNAB and Dave Ramsey)
Having a space just for me that I don’t share with my family
